Head of Sales and Business Development Job Summary
Location: Florida or Texas. The Head of Sales and Business Development will lead and execute the used serviceable material (USM) sales, marketing, and business development strategy across all markets. The role manages a team of sales professionals and is responsible for driving revenue growth, building strategic customer relationships, and strengthening our brand in the aviation aftermarket with a specific focus on USM. The position requires deep industry knowledge, strong leadership, and a proven track record of success in commercial aviation aftermarket sales and marketing. The incumbent must be willing to travel to visit customers, vendors, and attend industry conferences. The role requires a self-starter mindset, ability to work as part of a team, and willingness to assist with day-to-day operations inherent to a rapidly growing organization. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Managing the Global Used Serviceable Material Sales and Business Development Teams. Leading the USM and Business Development team to achieve goals and revenue targets by: Build and maintain customer relationships across airlines, MROs, and trading partners. Respond and measure daily quote activity. Drive materials solutions transactions with airline and MRO clients. Generating and negotiating sales of USM material (inventory, consignments, or marketplace brokering). Providing post-sale support to customers to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction. Responsible for overall strategy and financial performance (revenue and profits) for the USM business. Develop strategies and processes that maximize the value of USM. Manage the sale of USM material through strong relationships with MROs and airlines to become the preferred supplier of USM material. Work closely with the COO and other business leaders to establish the strategic direction of the USM business. Ensure inventory sales are aligned with market value. Attend industry conferences and networking events. Maintain high energy, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor. Other tasks and projects as directed by management. Required Experience
Bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least five years’ experience in commercial aviation. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in aviation aftermarket sales, with a focus on USM or parts trading. Deep understanding of aviation aftermarket supply chains, regulatory requirements, and the competitive landscape. Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, consultation, and relationship management skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Preferred
Existing global networks within airlines, MROs, and lessors. Experience with ERP, CRM, and aviation inventory management systems.
