Overview
Business Development Director - Mid-sized Clinical CRO. This remote role is based on the East Coast of the US and focuses on winning new business and managing accounts with small to large biotechs across a broad range of therapeutic areas. The role requires a strong network and CRO business development track record in the East Coast region, ideally selling full-service CRO solutions. This position is with RBW Consulting. Remote role, East Coast of the US. Full-time employment. Responsibilities
Achieve agreed-upon sales and business development targets; create and implement business development strategies for identified target markets. Prospect to build a pipeline of sales opportunities and RFPs from potential clients; qualify opportunities for competitive advantage, timing, budget, and decision-makers. Establish relationships with potential CRO partners to generate RFPs that leverage the strengths of each organization to win new business. Meet regularly with potential clients and manage the sales process for leads from internal and external sources. Utilize Salesforce to track client activities, meetings, opportunities, and status updates for management. Lead and manage the proposals development process to ensure alignment with client expectations, budget, language, and timelines. Identify profitable market niches and provide input to Marketing to support the BD process. Provide input to BD leadership on territory and industry knowledge to develop sales targets and plans. Coordinate with teams to secure resources for pre-sales activities and to support the sales process. Engage with agents and consultants in other locations to support business development in those markets. Attend conferences and trade shows to create new business opportunities. Qualifications
Strong network and proven CRO business development track record in the East Coast region, preferably selling full-service CRO solutions. Experience in new business development and account management within biotechs and across multiple therapeutic areas. Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM systems; ability to manage opportunities and timelines effectively. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Seniority level
