Schedule:

3 x 12 hours shifts per week (AM/PM)

Responsibilities

Patient Care:

Deliver compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the unit.

Monitoring:

Utilize advanced monitoring technology to assess and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other relevant data. Respond promptly to changes in patient status.

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.

Critical Thinking:

Apply advanced critical thinking skills in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans for complex medical conditions.

Advocacy:

Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, providing emotional support and ensuring their needs are met throughout the care journey.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Education:

Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.

Quality Improvement:

Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the ongoing improvement of nursing practices within the unit.

Qualifications

BSN or currently enrolled.

DC RN License, or eligibility

Critical Care experience: 2 year full time experience
