Overview
Senior-level management position to assist the VP of Financial Aid and Corporate Office in ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local reporting requirements. Subject matter expert in Title IV and student financing with the responsibility of maintaining current policies and procedures for all Financial Aid processes. Responsibilities
Supervise Financial Aid Regionals, Repackaging and Specialty Teams. Monitor performance and initiate appropriate performance management activities as needed. Work closely with Financial Aid Trainer and Executive Business Office Manager. Ensure compliance with Title IV regulations and other applicable federal and state laws. Stay current on federal and state regulations and implement necessary adjustments. Develop, update and maintain policies and procedures. Monitor financial aid packaging rates and timeliness of packaging. Monitor Campus Based funds expenditures and compliance. Prepare for and serve as liaison in compliance audits and reviews by federal and state agencies. Contribute to strategic planning initiatives. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Manage required aspects of EP and Anthology (SIS) including back up for EP and Anthology requests as needed. Supply reporting requests internally and externally. Manage and/or assist in annual reporting requirements. Field calls and emails to answer regulatory and operational questions. Attend required annual conferences/webinars/trainings. Special projects for VP of FA. Other duties as assigned. This position is Remote with Travel Requirements for Campus visits. Business needs may require this position to be a hybrid modality in the future. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s Degree preferred 7+ years of Financial Aid experience Proficiency in using financial aid software and systems; SIS/CampusVue experience preferred Management experience required Excellent customer service and organizational skills Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task Strong written and verbal skills Strong computer skills, proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel Ability to impart knowledge to others successfully Title IV regulations expert knowledge Cal Grant experience Additional Information
