$70,000-$80,00 + Bonus Structure Position Summary The Quality Assurance Supervisor’s primary role is to supervise all sampling, testing, and results-reporting activities impacting Food Safety and Quality. The role also serves as the facility SQF Practitioner, maintaining proper documentation and reports. The role is responsible for communication with all departments on issues concerning product Food Safety and Quality. Responsibilities

Supervises Laboratory Personnel in microbiological and analytical testing. Trains Laboratory Personnel in procedures and equipment operation. Problem-solves issues pertaining to product quality through communication with all departments and outside vendors as necessary. Oversee the review and maintenance of the SQF System, including food safety fundamentals outlined in “Food Safety Fundamentals” and the “Food Safety Plan”. Takes appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF System and holds the responsibility to ensure all verification and validation activities are completed. Also responsible for assisting in auditing, training, and developing policies/procedures. SQF (Safe Quality Food) Compliance It is the responsibility of every employee to ensure that V & V Supremo’s food safety and quality management system complies with food safety regulations and SQF compliance. In turn, our customers are assured that the product has been produced, processed, prepared, and handled according to the highest possible standards. All employees are required to comply and promote compliance with V & V Supremo’s food safety program and polices, including but not limited to: Hazard Prevention: Help to keep all work areas clean and free of unsafe obstacles. Educate: Educate yourself and others on the correct standard operating procedures for the task you are responsible for. Accountable: It’s your responsibility to understand and comply with the Company’s SQF policies and procedures Report Food Safety Issues: It is your responsibility to communicate any food safety and quality problems to your supervisor to initiate action. Training: Attend all required training and pass all necessary knowledge or skill-based evaluations. Key Activities

Supervises Laboratory Personnel in microbiological and analytical testing. Trains Laboratory Personnel in procedures and equipment operation. Problem-solves issues pertaining to product quality through communication with all departments and outside vendors as necessary. Audits existing manufacturing and sanitation SOPs to ensure they are documented, are being followed and are current. Assists in the management of third-party audit programs including SQF and coordinates verification and validation activities with the goal of achieving or maintaining SQF score of 95 or higher. Responsible for assisting in auditing, training, and developing policies/procedures. Monitor raw material & finished product testing for specification compliance. Assist in response to food safety issues with corrective and preventive action plans. Support Food Safety & Quality continuous improvement initiatives using proper methodologies such as statistical process control and root cause analysis. Performs laboratory testing as needed. Performance Metrics Ensure lab personnel complete prompt testing of finished product for hold/release program, prompt communication of hold information. On-time completion of product testing Adherence to overtime and supply cost budgets On-time availability and reporting of results (L-10’s, etc.) Developmental plan in place for Lab Techs and on-track Key Interfaces Regulatory Compliance Officers Third-Party Laboratories Service Providers Key Internal Interface Quality Assurance Manager and Technicians Plant Manager Production/Packaging/Maintenance Supervisors and hourly employees Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and hourly employees HR Manager Skills Required

Demonstrated passion for Food Safety and Quality. High integrity, adaptable, disciplined, organized, energetic, goal driven. Working knowledge for regulatory and quality system requirements supporting SQF certification. Proficient in using MS Office and specific software to analyze data and create presentations. Effective communicator to gain support and effect change. Attention to detail Able to work independently with minimal supervision Assertive regarding quality related issues Responsible for complying to all Safe Quality Food (SQF) polices/procedures and requirements for position. Responsible for following Safety (OSHA) regulations and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Necessary Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related sciences, or Associates degree in related sciences with 5 years of experience in food industry with laboratory/quality experience and knowledge. In lieu of a degree in related sciences, 5-10 years of experience in related food industry with extensive laboratory/quality experience and knowledge. Familiarity with USDA, FDA, and Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance requirements. HACCP & PCQI certifications (within 3 years) preferred. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus. Physical Abilities Needed

The work environment for this role is typically an office setting, with most tasks performed at a desk using a computer. Daily responsibilities involve extended periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
