Overview
Most Holy Trinity Church, a large and diverse Catholic parish in San Jose, California is seeking a Part-Time Music Director to lead and coordinate all aspects of our parish music ministry. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic with strong musical skills, and a collaborative spirit to work across multiple choir groups and cultural communities. Responsibilities
Coordinate music for parish liturgies, including: Sunday and weekday Masses Holy Days of Obligation Liturgical seasons (Advent, Lent, Easter) Multicultural and special events as needed Direct and support parish choirs, cantors, and musicians (English, Spanish, and Vietnamese communities) Schedule and lead rehearsals; ensure choirs and musicians are well-prepared Select music appropriate to the liturgy Collaborate with the Pastor and Liturgy Committee in planning Qualifications
Knowledge and love of Catholic liturgy and sacred music Proficiency in piano or organ; ability to lead singing and direct choirs Experience working with multicultural choirs and liturgies preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Bilingual (English and Spanish or Vietnamese) highly desirable Availability for weekends, Holy Days, and some evenings Compensation
