Overview
You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist Technical Manager providing leadership, management, and direction for operations, information technology (IT) infrastructure/engineering, network architecture, and systems integration. You will supervise military and civilian personnel in performing critical IT capability development and implementation activities. This position is located within the Joint Mission Operations Center (JMOC) of US FLEET CYBER COMMAND in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Duties
You will carry out full spectrum cyberspace operations through the integration of intelligence and network agility You will provide supervisory and technical oversight of Joint Mission Operations Center (JMOC) responsibilities and platforms, including coordination of testing, evaluating, and piloting new capabilities. You will manage large-scale, long-range programs that upgrade and deliver secure and reliable information services. You will assess risk and vulnerabilities to information technology (IT) enterprise architecture and infrastructure, network systems, enclave boundaries, endpoint devices, and software applications. You will ensure compliance with governing regulations, policies, and standards while identifying or developing new cost-effective security controls to mitigate risks. Requirements
Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing. Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This position requires a periodic polygraph examination. This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement. CONUS/OCONUS Travel/TDY may be required. Must be able to support 24/7 surge operations in a time of crisis, in support of contingencies as -directed, and Tier 1-level exercises in support of Commanders mission requirements. This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/CSWF position. Must meet qualification requirements of the specialty area assigned as delineated in Appendix 4 of SECNAV M-5239.2; see Additional Information section.
