$31-40 per hour

Jewell Stewart Pratt Beckerson & Carr PC, a nationally recognized San Francisco (FiDi) business immigration law firm, has an opening for a full-time Paralegal on its PERM/I-140/AOS team.

The paralegal is responsible for document preparation, research, and case management under the supervision of an attorney. To be successful in this role, a paralegal must have strong communication and legal writing skills. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

Support an attorney in all phases of the PERM labor certification process, including carrying out recruitment and drafting ETA Form 9089

Prepare and file PERM-based I-140s, I-130s, I-485s and related applications, DS-260s, re-entry permits, permanent residency card renewals, and naturalization applications with the appropriate U.S. government agencies

Correspond with clients to gather documents and information; answer questions about their visa processes

Use case management system/database and project management skills to monitor case milestones, follow up with clients, and meet both legal and client-relations deadlines

Organize and maintain case documents, databases, files, and subject-matter resources following the firm’s standard procedures

Produce error-free forms, correspondence, and related legal work products including applications and petitions

Properly assemble applications and petitions and ensure correct and timely filings

Other tasks as required to meet client and firm needs

Participate in team meetings

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience as defined by California Business and Professions Code § 6450(c).

Minimum of three years of paralegal experience preparing PERMs, PERM-based I-140s, and AOS applications

INSZoom experience is a plus
