Overview
Emergency Department at Montefiore Medical Center is one of the top five busiest in the United States and the most-visited in New York State. The department draws approximately 275,000 visits annually from patients age 21 and over from Westchester, Manhattan, Connecticut, and the Bronx. Our Board-Certified physicians are dedicated to providing excellent emergency services to the surrounding community.
Patients present with a broad spectrum of ailments and injuries, ranging from cold symptoms to heart attacks. Our cardiac services are notable, including emergent cardiac catheterization 24x7, an Arrhythmia service, a Congestive Heart Failure service, and cardiac transplants. We are also a recognized leader in stroke services, with a specialized team of stroke experts. Our ED collaborates with Albert Einstein College of Medicine, contributing to clinical research and education.
Responsibilities
Join a collegial team of 32 physicians at either the Moses or Wakefield campus in the Bronx, NY.
Provide Board-Certified Emergency Medicine care with a focus on operational leadership and patient flow.
Work a variety of shifts (8, 9, 10, or 12 hours) with approximately 1,542 clinical hours per year.
Lead teams with a fully trained support staff of 21 PAs, 11 NPs, and over 87 RNs/LPNs/PCTs.
Qualifications
Board-Certified Emergency Medicine trained provider.
Operationally focused with leadership experience of medical teams and staff.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $270,000–$315,000 plus additional bonus and productivity incentives.
Full benefits package including paid malpractice insurance and academic appointment at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
