Overview
The Marketing Strategist will play a critical role in elevating the customer marketing experience throughout their unique financial journey with Huntington Bank. This highly strategic position requires adept use of data, business goals, and customer insights to build marketing plans. Across multiple lines of business, this role will manage Huntington’s marketing efforts for strategic initiatives leading to business growth and retention.
This role requires a high degree of cross-functional leadership to build marketing campaigns to reduce attrition. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can lead programs from strategy through to completion.
Responsibilities
Build new initiatives from the ground up by understanding business goals, market trends, consumer behavior and the company’s strategic direction.
Assess customer retention risk in a high growth, competitive marketing landscape.
Lead cross-functional teams from Product, Data & Analytics, Marketing, and Digital to create and execute marketing plans.
Build the go-to-market approach to ensure seamless customer experiences while driving business results and building brand awareness.
Develop customer segmentation, targeting, and contact strategies to maximize the performance of key segments.
Communicate with stakeholders to build awareness of the marketing strategy and its contribution to the business.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field
5 years of marketing experience, preferably in M&A
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading customer lifecycle, loyalty, retention marketing campaigns
Understanding of marketing automation best practices, lead scoring, and list segmentation
Strategic – create plans that align with business goals and objectives to deliver short-term production and long-term vision
Effective communicator – ability to storytelling and share ideas and plans with stakeholders
Entrepreneurial – understand the big picture and also dig into the details; measure risk and reward and choose paths with the biggest impact
Proactive problem-solver – can test boundaries and propose creative new solutions
Analytical – analyze market, consumer, and competitor trends to inform planning
Creative thinker – develop innovative ideas to differentiate Huntington
Experience working with insights team to design and execute learning plans that yield clear outcomes
Experience partnering with analytics team to understand return on marketing investment

Work Arrangements and Compensation Workplace Type:
Office
Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. We’re combining the best of both worlds: in-office and work from home. Remote roles may also come together in our offices for moments that matter. Specific work arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.
Compensation Range:
$70,000-$140,000 annually
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. Huntington provides a variety of benefits, including health insurance, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays, and PTO.
