A hospital is seeking an interventional cardiologist for locum tenens coverage.

About the Clinician's Workday Notes are recorded in EPIC. Coverage is 12 weeks per month starting as soon as credentialed (approx. 120 days). The role includes both inpatient and clinic responsibilities, with procedures including coronary angiograms, PCI, atherectomy/thrombectomy, left/right heart catheterizations, mechanical circulatory support devices, and optionally interpreting noninvasive tests like nuclear/exercise stress studies, coronary CTAs, echocardiograms, and ECGs. APP support is available for general cardiology on weekdays until 5 PM and during weekend calls until 7 PM. Clinic days run 8:30–11:30 AM and 2:00–4:30 PM, averaging 24 patients per full day. Weekday call includes interventions and general cardiology (minimum 1 per week), and weekend call runs Friday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM. Average daily hospital census is 2025, clinic 2024, with 810 consults per hospital shift. The locum does not admit patients. Required certifications include ACLS and BLS.
