Are you an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology physician seeking locum tenens work in Pennsylvania? We are looking for a skilled OB/GYN to provide temporary call coverage near Adamsburg, PA for a short-term assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and established facility providing essential care to the community. Assignment Details
Location: Near Adamsburg, Pennsylvania Coverage Dates: November 29, 2024 - December 1, 2024 (7:00 am - 7:00 am) Coverage Type: Call only (second call/backup) Facility Type: Inpatient, Level I Trauma, supporting a high volume of obstetric cases Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic Privileges: Temporary privileges available Shift Structure: 24-hour call coverage (with no supervision required)
Practice Requirements:
Practice Requirements Specialty Skills: Obstetrics and Gynecology
Experience Required: High-risk and low-risk pregnancy management
Routine deliveries, C-sections, and complex deliveries (e.g., breech, VBAC, multiple births)
Proficiency in interpreting fetal heart rate monitoring
Ultrasound skills (Level I and Level II for viability and anatomy scans)
Skills in minor and major gynecological surgeries, including IUD placement, cystoscopy, cryosurgery, laparoscopic procedures, and laser certification preferred
Management of third- and fourth-degree laceration repairs
Qualifications License: Must be licensed in Pennsylvania
Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology; fellowship preferred but not required
Certification Requirements: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS are not required for this role
Additional Information Support Staff: Includes a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for first call coverage
Patient Volume: Facility averages approximately 1,590 deliveries annually
Travel & Lodging: Nearest airports include Pittsburgh and Latrobe. Lodging arrangements will be made by the facility.
Compensation: Competitive, all-inclusive daily rate, including travel and lodging expenses
