Overview
The Quality NDT Leader is responsible for assuring compliance to plant, corporate, customer, and industry standards of non-destructive testing methods (including but not limited to: visual VT, ultrasonic UT, FPI PT, X-ray RT/DR, Crystal Grain Etch CVM). This position leads audits and drives continuous improvement to enhance quality and process controls. Anticipated Pay Range:
$93K-110K per Year.

Assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace's value and policy statements and accompanying principles. Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations. Essential Job Functions Ensure that NDT methods and procedures meet customer and industry standards. Maintain compliance of products and processes in manufacturing to specific company, industry, and customer requirements. Support L3s in maintaining training and certification of NDT personnel. Monitor quality and productivity trends; initiate and lead continuous improvement of NDT-related manufacturing processes to improve quality, reduce costs, and ensure product quality objectives are met. Support internal and external audits of the NDT processes. Effectively manage and develop direct reports and ensure succession plans are in place to sustain a quality workforce. Be a team player and develop relationships, internally and externally, to achieve leadership engagement, management influence and customer connections. Maintain lines of communication with customers, including verbal and written correspondence and personal visits when required. Provide technical support to Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales. Develop, maintain and implement enhancements to the quality system or processes that result in improved quality performance, increased customer satisfaction, and/or simplification of processes to reduce costs, including tracking, analyzing, risk-based thinking, reporting and problem solving. Understand problem solving, root cause analysis, and quality improvement tools and techniques; knowledge of management planning tools, quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and overcoming barriers to quality improvement. Communicate and reinforce commitment to quality systems and continuous improvement efforts. Participate in the quality reporting and management review process. Assist with data analysis, generate relevant reports, and lead improvement initiatives as directed. Standardize metrics and best practices. Job Specifications
Knowledge in Statistical Tools and Techniques, NDE, APQP and Measurement System Analysis. Ability to lead cross-functional quality and process improvement initiatives. Ability to multitask with numerous day-to-day aspects of the job. Experience relating to manufacturing, inspection, engineering and customer interaction; ability to develop and maintain quality processes and systems that meet customer and regulatory requirements. Ability to identify, control and mitigate appropriate levels of risk in systems, processes and products. Must consistently demonstrate company values and operate within the performance management framework. Strong initiative, high performance, and proactive problem-solving; self-starter capable of setting challenging goals. Ability to prioritize and delegate while maintaining accountability. Basic Qualifications
ITAR: U.S. person status required (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee). Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline. Minimum five (5) years of relevant manufacturing experience. Minimum three (3) years of supervisory/leadership experience. Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods. Experience with quality tools such as CAPA, Six Sigma, lean, PPAP, FMEA, problem solving and root cause analysis. Relocation

Experience with AS9100 QMS standards. Physical Demands / Equipment Used
Frequent sitting and viewing monitor use; occasional standing and walking. Lifting up to 25 lbs. occasionally; typically 10 lbs. or less. Specific vision requirements. Occasional travel; duties may be performed in various manufacturing settings. Mental Requirements
