Overview

Responsible for developing new business, expanding existing business relationships, and servicing Citadel’s Commercial Payments clients, including high touch client accounts. Works with larger, more sophisticated business clients with complex payments needs. Implements and monitors onboarding, execution, and servicing for all Business Credit Card, Merchant Services, and Cash Management products and services. Creates, manages, and oversees all compliance, regulatory, and audit requirements for Business Credit Card, Merchant Services, and Cash Management. Leads vetting, selection, and implementation of Commercial Payments vendor relationships. Oversees Commercial Payments vendor partnerships, including regular meetings, reporting, service breaks, contract updates, and sales rep reporting. Represents the department on division and cross-functional committees. Works closely with Business Banking Relationship Managers, Commercial Relationship Managers, Retail Bank partners, and clients at the Executive Level. Considered a subject matter expert on product line benefits and services across various industries and lines of business. Actively serves as a role model and mentor to others.

Responsibilities

Meet with existing business clients to expand relationships and ensure proper servicing. Manage complex business relationships within the overall business banking portfolio. Responsible for all phases of the sales process from referral through implementation for Business Credit Card, Merchant Services, and Cash Management. Call on prospective business clients to develop new Commercial Payments sales opportunities through a consultative sales approach. Analyze members’ current payment structures and pricing; develop customized solutions to meet their needs. Prepare and present sales presentations and proposals for internal and external audiences, illustrating customized solutions, industry trends, and features and benefits of the recommended offerings. Act as a partner with Relationship Managers to market Commercial Payments services to members and prospects. Create, manage, and oversee all compliance, regulatory, and audit requirements for the Commercial Payments Business (including Business Credit Card, Merchant Services, and Cash Management). Provide consultative training to retail partners and vendors to ensure understanding of the Bank’s product offerings and communicate product changes and enhancements. Analyze members and prospective pricing structures and make recommendations to Relationship Managers and leadership. Support the Chief Commercial Banking Officers’ sales management process in executing sales strategies and in meeting or exceeding departmental goals with a focus on relationship growth. Participate in the development of strategic business plans and sales campaigns for target members and prospects. Provide training and mentoring to directors, market managers, and financial representatives with less experience. Scope of Responsibilities

This position reports to the Chief Commercial Banking Officer and is responsible for participating in the development, expansion, and maintenance of Citadel’s Commercial Payments business. This role assists with strategic planning and works closely with Relationship and line of business managers, as well as members at the Executive level. Serves as a subject matter expert in Business Credit Card, Merchant Services, and Cash Management product benefits and services for the supported business units. Qualifications and Education

Undergraduate degree in business/related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years risk and operational exposure/experience. Minimum of 5 years business banking exposure and payments/ACH exposure. Minimum of 10 years Merchant Services experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience with and broad understanding of personal and commercial financial statements. Proficient in personal computer applications – MS Windows and Office Products, Client Experience Desktop. Performance Measurements
