0.8-1.0 FTE is desirable Duties and Responsibilities
Core faculty members of the Sutter SRFMR report to the Program Director for all matters pertaining to curriculum and resident education. All faculty are jointly responsible for contributing to the Core Family Medicine Curriculum at SRFMR. The majority of core faculty will also have an area of the curriculum for which they are principally responsible. Core faculty will collaborate with the leadership of our partner institutions and other faculty to ensure integration of the curriculum across the various clinical, didactic and elective experiences. Key Responsibilities for all Core Faculty
Supervise and role model high quality outpatient care to systemically disadvantaged patients in our Family Medicine Practice at Santa Rosa Community Health Provide written and verbal feedback and evaluation of residents for their professional development and in accordance with ACGME requirements Serve as a faculty advisor for up to 4 residents during their three years of training, including multiple meetings throughout the year Oversight of an area of the curriculum and/or rotations (to be determined at the time of hiring based on program needs and interest of faculty member) Deliver didactics and other educational sessions on topics in a selected area(s) of expertise Attend regular meetings, including: faculty meetings, faculty development, monthly Program Meetings, All-Residency and Faculty Retreats Participation in the selection process for new residents Contribute to SSRFMR scholarly activity to meet program ACGME requirements Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the program director Key Responsibilities related to Inpatient Adult Medicine: (optional)
Daily rounding with residents caring for ill, hospitalized adults at SSRRH while leading a multidisciplinary team of nurses, pharmacists, medical students, physical therapists, social workers, and other team members. No care of ICU-level patients is required. Oversight of resident documentation of hospitalized patients Supervise specialist consultations in the hospital Deliver formal teaching/didactics at least once per week on service (an online resource full of didactic materials will be available). Attend quarterly AMS (Adult Medicine Service) attending meetings for ongoing faculty collaboration, updates and feedback. Overnight home call for new admissions and unstable patients plus weekend and holiday rounding Qualifications
Required: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathy (DO) Board Certification in Family Medicine (Med-Peds may be considered) Valid California medical license Highly Desirable: Current or past experience teaching medical students or residents Current or past experience creating educational curricula Language proficiency concordant with patient population (Spanish, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Tigrinya, Chinese) Essential Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes
Demonstrate knowledge of, or willingness to learn, ACGME Family Medicine program requirements Experience or desire to work with systematically-disadvantaged patients in a Federally Qualified Health Center, hospital setting, and the community at large General demonstration of professionalism and leadership conducive to educating and role modelling for residents from diverse backgrounds Current Curricular Areas of Need

Core faculty will generally be employed by Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods. Full-time salary will vary based on year of experience. Benefits may be pro-rated for those working less than 0.8 full-time equivalents. Base full-time salary is generally around $250,000+ depending on years of experience Inpatient Call Stipend $10,000 CME and professional expense budget of $5,000 Residency-sponsored CME days for scholarly work at conferences
