The Director of Finance for the Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IO&E) division plays a critical leadership role in driving financial performance and strategic support across the division. This individual leads the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) team, providing oversight for U.S. divisional P&L, global financial reporting, portfolio investments, new product launches, and business development opportunities. This role partners closely with the SVP of Finance, Cardiovascular, and the Divisional President of IO&E to develop, communicate, and execute financial strategies that enable growth, profitability, and innovation. It is a high-impact role for a strategic, collaborative, and forward-thinking finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid model, requiring employees to be in our local office in Maple Grove, MN at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include
Partner with senior leadership, including the SVP of Finance and Divisional President, to establish financial goals, strategic plans, and growth objectives Lead financial planning processes, including forecasts, budgets, and the annual operating plan Oversee monthly and quarterly financial close activities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and transparency in all reporting Deliver strategic financial analysis and insights to support commercial investments, new product launches, and global portfolio decisions Provide financial decision support for business development initiatives, including acquisitions, partnerships, distribution agreements, and venture investments Collaborate with Cardiovascular Accounting on financial due diligence and integration planning Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting systems Ensure effective operation of internal controls, with accountability for compliance with U.S. GAAP and quality systems Actively share best practices and foster financial acumen across the organization Build and lead a high-performing finance team through effective recruitment, development, and mentoring Provide strategic guidance and financial leadership to cross-functional business units and initiatives Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety and product quality by adhering to Boston Scientific’s Quality Policy and documented processes Required qualifications
Minimum of 10 years' experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategic business partnering Minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership or people management role Proven expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial close processes, and operational controls Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams Experience supporting commercial operations and evaluating investment opportunities Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field Preferred qualifications
Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced degree or certification Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration Strong systems acumen and familiarity with enterprise financial tools and reporting platforms Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills Requisition ID: 614607 Minimum Salary:

286,000 The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
