Overview
Position Purpose:
The Senior Director, Quality Business Insights role functions in a strategic analytics capacity, driving the identification and execution of cross-functional data and analytics initiatives by ensuring alignment of business needs, analytics capabilities, and technology deployments. Overall leadership responsibility for cross-functional data initiatives designed to identify and deliver consumer-focused insights that will improve enterprise Quality / Medicare Stars through customer engagement and satisfaction, health outcomes and health plan operations efficiency leveraging data and analytics standards. Works at the cross-section between Quality, Analytics, Finance, Strategy, Operations, Product and Information Technology. Ensures framing, investigating and providing valuable insights to the Quality leadership team and Cross-functional partners (Sales, Customer Service, Product, Markets, Provider Sales Ops, Marketing, Finance, Forecasting, Business Development), based on the goals and objectives of Quality. Responsibilities
Lead a Quality Business Insights team to high levels of performance providing direction, root cause problem solving and critical thinking. Identifies and oversees implementation of efficiencies involving group deliverables, tools and working procedures using continuous improvement methods. Provide strategic/leadership direction and subject matter expertise to the Quality organization to support data driven business decisions. Interface regularly with Executive/Senior Quality Leadership to present insights and recommendations. Works with cross-functional partners to add value through collaboration on analytical methodologies using both primary market and consumer research data, Quality and Stars data, physician/member data as well as health plan operations data. Connect data analytics, including advanced analytics, together to tell compelling and persuasive stories that deliver clear and actionable recommendations. Drive strategic thinking and serve as a business insights leader to the CAHPS/HOS Member Experience & Insights team and other Quality teams by answering key business questions to define strategies that support investment decisions. Align with Enterprise data, reporting and analytics teams regarding data availability, analytical methodologies to produce high-quality insights. Oversee team budget. Create strategic partnerships with internal and external customers, vendors and extended team members. Bridge business needs to the prioritization and development of analytics tools/technology solutions. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred. 8+ years’ experience in healthcare or related positions, including in depth experience in building and implementing measurable successful strategies across health plan and/or Quality functions. 3+ years of leading cross functional teams and/or people management responsibility. Ability to identify and understand consumer preferences, demographics, and buying patterns, and integrate this information to create value-added consumer programs. Deep experience in Business Analysis, insights, market research and competitive intelligence, including how these areas inform forecasting. Must have knowledge of relevant internal and external data sources within the health plan industry and the ability to integrate this data to form valuable insights. Financial acumen, including resource allocation, budget management and reporting, strategic sourcing and P&L evaluation. Quality/Stars experience, preferred. Pay Range: $145,100.00 - $268,800.00 per year Benefits & Additional Information
