Blanchard Valley Health System Cardiovascular Care is expanding our heart care services to include vascular surgery. This is an opportunity to grow in practice with interventional and noninvasive cardiologists, experienced advanced practice providers, and a full support team. The position offers robust medical and surgical subspecialty support, a dedicated OR, and experienced staff. Job Description
Provide licensed medical care including diagnosis, treatment (surgical or pre/post-surgical care where appropriate), case management, and clinical research Manage complex and sometimes unpredictable situations Direct and provide direct and indirect patient care services in inpatient and outpatient settings Conduct ambulatory clinics; interview, obtain and review the medical history of patients Perform physical examinations to assess medical or surgical needs Order special procedures, diagnostic testing, and other ancillary services; respond to consultation requests Determine, prescribe, and implement treatment plans and/or medications; document all services and instructions in the medical record Educate patients and promote wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and services to patients and families Respond and maintain open communication with referring physicians Ensure continuing medical educational requirements are met; participate in department, college, medical center, and university committees and service activities Perform other duties and/or call assignments as defined by the Chair or designee Perform surgical procedures where assigned Serve as preceptor and provide bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, nursing staff, and other allied health professionals Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified or board eligible in specialization required State of Ohio and DEA licensure Competency in technical, clinical and surgical skills (where appropriate), cognitive and interpersonal skills to serve patients Practice within the established Medical Center and Physician’s standards of practice, and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center About Findlay, Ohio
