The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for identifying, designing, and building advanced analytic solutions across the Dairy Foods business unit. This role contributes to the Dairy Foods Data & Analytics Product Team, partnering with business teams and IT to drive data-driven decision making.

This position translates business requirements into technical analyses and models to drive revenue, reduce costs, and optimize business results. The Senior Data Scientist identifies data science use cases, conducts exploratory data analysis, and implements machine learning algorithms. Strong communication skills are required to present results to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Identify data science use cases across the Dairy Foods unit and translate business requirements into technical analyses and models.

Conduct exploratory data analysis and implement machine learning algorithms and techniques.

Collaborate with business partners and IT to drive data-driven decision making and measurable outcomes.

Communicate results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience-Education (Required)

Advanced degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics or related discipline; or equivalent combination of demonstrated skills or experience.

5+ years professional experience designing and developing analytics solutions.

3+ years' experience in statistical programming (Python, R, SAS, SPSS, etc.).

Demonstrated knowledge of statistical and analytic techniques including regression, clustering, classification, etc.

Ability to translate between business requirements and technical specifications and communicate results to non-technical partners.

Experience with traditional and modern platforms including cloud storage and compute technologies.

Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.

Competencies-Skills (Required)

Identify key business requirements to drive design, development, implementation, and delivery of models and analytic solutions.

Conceptualize, design, and develop scalable analytical solutions using latest technologies.

Collaborate with Data Architecture, Data Management, and Data Visualization teams to achieve desired outcomes.

Partner with multiple stakeholder groups to ensure alignment with standards and best practices.

Provide thought leadership and education to business partners on analytic best practices.

Onboard end-users to analytics platforms, provide recurring training, and hold office hours.

Support enterprise rollout of advanced analytic capabilities.

Identify, report, and escalate risks to manager and stakeholders as appropriate.

Experience-Education (Preferred)

Master's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of demonstrated skills and experience.

Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI).

Competencies-Skills (Preferred)

CPG and manufacturing industry experience.

Experience with cloud-based model training and production.

Experience with Docker containerization.

Experience in a scrum/agile team; familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.

Salary : The salary range for this role is $105,040 - $157,560.
