Position Summary

Walmart Enterprise Business Services (EBS) is a collection of seven teams delivering technology solutions and services. As part of Walmart Global Tech, our teams focus on operational excellence and leverage emerging technology to support millions of customers, associates, and stakeholders worldwide. The role is for a Machine Learning Engineer who will bridge machine learning and software engineering, overseeing the lifecycle of advanced ML systems from conceptualization through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvements. Note: This job is available in Sunnyvale, CA location only and no sponsorship is available. Candidates who do not need sponsorship are encouraged to apply. What you'll do

Architect, build, and maintain robust machine learning pipelines and infrastructure for production deployment. Develop and optimize machine learning models with a focus on scalability, latency, and resource efficiency. Write clean, production-grade code in Python and Java, emphasizing maintainability and performance. Integrate ML models into existing software systems, ensuring smooth deployment through CI/CD and automated testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable, production-ready ML solutions. Continuously monitor model health in production, troubleshoot issues, and implement model retraining or updates as needed. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system designs, deployment processes, and monitoring protocols. What you'll bring: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Python and Java. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn). Proven experience in software engineering, including design patterns, algorithms, and system architecture. Experience with data processing tools (e.g., Pandas, Spark) and databases (SQL/NoSQL). Experience with MLOps practices (model versioning, monitoring, and retraining pipelines). Preferred Qualifications: knowledge of distributed systems and big data processing; familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure). About Walmart Global Tech

The annual salary range is $117,000.00-$234,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, stock, and other benefits.
