Overview
Junior Data Architect We’re looking for a Junior Data Architect to help build and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure data architectures across our global systems. In this role, you’ll support data management, storage, integration, and migration initiatives while contributing to data warehousing, business intelligence, and reporting solutions. You’ll work closely with senior architects and cross-functional teams to deliver clean, accessible, and trustworthy data. Responsibilities
Assist with designing, optimizing, and documenting scalable data architectures. Support application development, upgrades, and data migrations, including detailed data mapping. Implement data quality processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across all systems. Develop and maintain recurring data imports / exports, system diagrams, and application-level data flows. Troubleshoot data integrity issues and test import / export procedures. Collaborate with teams to resolve data-related challenges and improve processes. Contribute to integrations with external systems (e.g., OTM, EDI, BankFabric). Assist with Master Data Management (MDM) strategies, including data modeling, documentation, profiling, and synchronization. Support development of data pipelines and optimized data integration processes. Participate in database management tasks (e.g., access controls, roles, and security in Snowflake). Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field. 2+ years of IT experience, including at least 1 year of experience supporting architectural design and implementation in Data Warehousing and Business Analytics environments (e.g., Data Lakes, Data Marts, BI), including development, data analysis, and report writing Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, DataBricks, Azure Synapse). Hands-on experience with Azure data services (ADF, Logic Apps, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL Databases). Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Knowledge of SQL and exposure to programming languages (Python, Java, PHP preferred). Understanding of data modeling principles, governance, security, and compliance. Familiarity with API design and development (preferred). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
