The National Security Sector (NSS) seeks highly qualified and trained Cyber Analysts (Journeyman) to provide expert guidance and direction in executing current Operations across the Joint Operations Center (JOC) in order to operate a 24x7x365 mission in a 4-Star Combatant Command.
This opportunity includes roles supporting Day Shift, Swing Shift, and Mid Shift. All personnel will participate in a robust cross training and upskilling program and be certified and willing to support surge support requirements across the Joint Operations Center (JOC). This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award.
Responsibilities
Provide Subject Matter Expertise across a number of work roles or mission areas that support the JOC’s 24x7x365 operations.
Develop and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes for delivering support to the USCYBERCOM JOC to defend the nation, operate and defend the DODIN, and synchronize and provide situational awareness to USCYBERCOM staff elements, components, CCMDs, agencies and mission partners.
Assist J33 leadership to maintain situational awareness on Cyber Mission Force (CMF) mission planning, status and reporting.
Shared situational awareness (SSA) requires working in a dynamic environment with a common understanding of the situation, assessing, analyzing, and maintaining situational awareness on USCYBERCOM operations and providing a consolidated view to share with higher headquarters, USCYBERCOM components and mission partners.
Create and submit reports that demonstrate USCYBERCOM components’ mission results and impacts.
Facilitate the sharing of Defense Industrial Base and Law Enforcement security information among relevant entities through policies, procedures, and technologies, including liaison with the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3).
Develop communication strategies, craft messages, and provide coaching on delivery aligned with the command’s vision and mission.
Provide guidance on authorities, cyberspace operations doctrine, schema/lexicon, and rules of engagement; provide administrative and technical support for policy development and implementation.
Conduct research, analysis, and communication to assist in the creation and maintenance of effective policies.
Communicate complex information in a clear, confident, and organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means.
What does Leidos need from me?
Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance with Polygraph is required for consideration.
BA/BS degree within STEM field, National Security Studies, or field supporting operational art & science with eight plus years related experience or 10 plus years relevant military experience. Additional years may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience managing teams in support of CO within DoD or IC.
Intimate familiarity with military operations including phases of planning, approval, and execution.
Intimate familiarity with applicable Joint Publications, including JP 1-0, JP 3-0, JP 3-12, JP 5-0, and applicable strategic-level guidance pertinent to CO.
Deep expertise conducting JOC operations.
Broad knowledge of Blue-space Cyber capabilities and understanding of available cyber infrastructure or platforms to conduct OCO.
Understanding underlying intelligence support needs across a range of CO topics and focus areas.
Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals and operations of a wide range of communications media.
Ability to support timely, accurate, relevant analytical production (documents, summaries, issue papers, talking points, briefings).
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, proactively multi-task, and meet short deadlines.
Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex data to nontechnical audiences.
Able to work across DoD and IC agencies to support organizational goals.
Favorable if you have:
Masters’ Degree in STEM, National Security Studies, or related field.
Familiarity with USCYBERCOM organizational structure and mission.
Prior experience supporting Joint operations across multiple warfighting domains.
Experience incorporating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into operations to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Formal training in Cyber Warfare and Joint Operations.
Familiarity with Data Science concepts and applicability to CO.
Familiar with Microsoft Power BI data visualization software.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II or equivalent certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA Security+ CE, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
