Ozarks Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide visionary financial leadership for its growing, community-focused health system. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will play a critical role in shaping the organization’s financial strategy, ensuring long-term sustainability, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The Position
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the activity in the Accounting Department (Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, and other departments as assigned). Oversees and verifies accounting transactions in these departments (revenue and expense; variances, benchmarks, and statistics). Responsible for preparation of annual budget, regulatory reports, monthly and annual financial reports, and benchmarking reports. Reports Financial health of the organization to the other members of Senior Leadership, as well as the designated member of Finance to the Board of Directors. The Ideal Candidate
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, finance or accounting required. Master’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred. 10+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting Leadership required. Minimum 5+ years at a CFO or VP level required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Experience within a community-based health care independent environment with high governmental payer mix and/or track record of managing successfully in a financially stressed environment is highly preferred. Strong experience with healthcare revenue cycle principles and functions. Brings a contemporary, enterprise-wide perspective to financial function with strong business acumen and strategic vision. Aligns financial strategy with the organization’s mission, vision, and values while turning strategy into actionable plans. Serves as a credible, articulate voice across the health system; communicates complex financial issues clearly at all levels, including the Board. Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment, earning trust when making difficult decisions. Proven ability to drive results through strong organizational skills, effective partnerships, and customer service focus.
