The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily restaurant operations and ensuring that staff perform their job responsibilities, are trained, and held accountable. The Restaurant Manager also helps manage special events, banquets, and reservations.
Essential Job Functions
General: Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant as needed.
General: Perform other duties as required by senior management.
Financial : Adhere to company standards and service levels to minimize costs, including labor costs.
Financial: Assist with all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties before approval.
Food Safety and Service and Restaurant Cleanliness : Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of dining areas to ensure health and safety of customers and employees.
Food Safety and Service and Restaurant Cleanliness: Ensure consistent high quality of food service.
Food Safety and Service and Restaurant Cleanliness: Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
Food Safety and Service and Restaurant Cleanliness: Maintain professional restaurant image, including cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
Guest Service : Ensure positive guest service in all areas; respond to guest complaints and take appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
Guest Service: Ensure customer service meets company standards and customer satisfaction by working with restaurant managers.
Operational Responsibilities : Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, laws, and ordinances.
Operational Responsibilities: Ensure proper security procedures to protect employees, guests, and assets.
Operational Responsibilities: Maintain a safe working and guest environment; complete accident reports promptly; report injuries to the COO and HR Manager; follow procedures to maintain safety and security.
People Management/Recruiting/Training : Enforce labor laws; provide direction on operational issues using SOPs; interview applicants for non-exempt positions and conduct onboarding and orientations.
People Management/Recruiting/Training: Maintain staffing plans and schedules to ensure full coverage.
People Management/Recruiting/Training: Support training, recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management; ensure breaks are taken as required.
People Management/Recruiting/Training: Train and develop employees with ongoing feedback and performance expectations; assist with policy implementation.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience : Minimum of 4 years restaurant experience with at least 2 years in a management position.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience: Proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and reporting.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience: Strong technology skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, TOAST, Paycom).
Qualifications, Education, And Experience: California Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience: ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience: Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience: Neat, professional appearance; well-groomed and well-spoken.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience: Ability to work cohesively with coworkers and communicate tactfully with all employees.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience: Able to perform all front-of-house functions within the restaurant.
