Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager at Belt Power, LLC. will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with General Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.

This role will manage a team of accounting professionals and will collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. They will play a role in driving process improvements, strengthening financial controls, and aligning accounting practices with company objectives.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) cycles, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and reports.
  • Present recommendations to management on financial policies, objectives, and strategies.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, managing audit processes and ensuring all required documentation is provided.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, prepare variance analyses, and maintain costing standards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide financial analysis for capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Responsible for tax planning and coordination of annual corporate tax filings.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across accounting functions.
  • Supervisor, mentor, and develop accounting team, including assigning tasks, review performance, and identifying training needs.
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Respect, protect, support, company culture.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including some supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems is essential.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive results.

Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position in the office. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Occasional overtime hours, and weekend work may be required.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 a year
