As the North America Senior Commercial Controller, you will have direct and daily interaction with senior business stakeholders across the market. You will drive financial insight and transparency and together with our global finance organization, you will translate business decisions into financial outcomes, and use your financial insight to actively spar with, and challenge, the senior management team of across North America. You will take full responsibility for end to end finance activities in North America.
You will work on reducing complexity, establishing effective financial processes, and further develop our key financial deliverables, including the budget, forecast cash flow and monthly management report.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Drive value creation and control the financial health of activities within the North America Fighting Unit.
- Lead with Head, Heart and Hands to help turn houses into homes.
The Impact You’ll Make
- Acts as Finance Business Partner to the NAM Market Leader by contributing to business strategy development and translation into value creating activities. (a.o. through business cases).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement profitable growth strategies.
- Analyzes and optimizes the financial performance (P&L, BS, CF), risks & opportunities and corrective actions to realize the financial objectives.
- Owns business controlling and (statutory) accounting activities (compliance) for own organization.
- Performs budgeting, forecasting and other forward-looking ad-hoc analysis (project & strategy evaluation, benchmarking, Price/Volume mix, scenario analysis, etc).
- Identify and evaluate business risks, assess their impact on achieving NAM P&L and Working Capital goals, develop and implement action plans, and ensure they are effectively implemented.
- Responsible for the leadership, management, and development of direct and indirect team.
The Skills and Knowledge you’ll Bring
- Relevant work experience in different finance disciplines (including finance business partnering in a market or business).
- Ability to zoom out on strategy, while also having a hands-on approach operational execution of finance processes in NAM.
- Minimum Finance & Control or Accountancy, preferably CFA, ACCA, CPA but not required.
- People Leadership experience.
- Good knowledge of finance tools (Excel, ERP, business intelligence tools) and LEAN.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
