This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the strategic vision for Voya’s Wealth Management (RWM) platform and manage the go-forward technology strategy & roadmap. The role requires deep understanding of the Wealth Management and Brokerage/Custody platforms to support both advisor-led and digital self-service functions. Knowledge of the current tech vendor landscape and front, middle, and back-end integrations is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Help shape the retail product platform vision with customer-centricity and define the business value; develop business cases for investment including revenue potential, implied investment, and OKRs.
  • Collaborate with and manage internal stakeholders (business and technology leaders) to gather feedback and refine the product roadmap, considering priorities, pacing, risk, funding, and scope.
  • Engage with external stakeholders (customers, vendors, suppliers) to identify requirements, assess impacts on data, systems, products, services, and compare costs and benefits to recommend a path forward.
  • Scope the minimum viable product, create the product backlog, and prioritize based on iterative business value.
  • Lead the development and execution of product launches, refinements, and iterations (e.g., cash, robo-advisory, brokerage).
  • Lead technology projects including application development, automation, and database PL/SQL programming.
  • Manage individuals and teams to meet customer expectations and adhere to IT standards, methodologies, and strategies.
  • Build relationships across the organization to align GTM for the WM Platform and ensure cross-team coordination.
  • Manage client insights to understand evolving needs and use this data to enhance the digital experience and commercial outcomes.
  • Identify dependencies and roadblocks and escalate to sponsors and leadership as required.
  • Own defined business KPIs, develop and manage business plans and budgets for functional areas, and oversee overall team success.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and data privacy requirements for systems and data across all business functions.
  • Onboard new team members and continue to expand RWM domain knowledge through ongoing learning and industry engagement.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in RWM (Broker-Dealer, RIA, Asset Management), Retirement, and Workplace Benefits, recommending changes as needed.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or information systems; master’s degree a plus.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Product Management, with 5+ years in a leadership/management role within the RWM industry preferred.
  • FINRA SIE and Series 99 (Operations Professional) or must be obtained within 120 days of employment.
  • Proven success across multiple major products, translating customer needs to business value and delivering solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong understanding of retail advice and brokerage landscape and potential vendors; ability to identify industry dynamics and drive innovative ideas.
  • Strong technical and management ability to lead a delivery team (onshore/offshore) with clear prioritization guidance.
  • Technical understanding of integration patterns (APIs, batch processing, webhooks, SSO) for WM platform providers (e.g., Pershing Wove, Orion Connect, Envestnet).
  • Knowledge of billing and commission systems for fee-based UMA/SMA accounts (e.g., Orion Eclipse).
  • Ability to align stakeholders across teams and foster interdependent collaboration.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and DevSecOps concepts with automation.
  • Experience with development/coding in technologies such as Salesforce, .NET, SQL Server, Oracle, Web API, Microservices, Java Spring Boot, and container platforms (OpenShift and/or Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
  • Understanding of wealth technologies for modern data analytics, data visualization, reporting, and ODS; ability to apply WM trends to new designs.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (Pershing, FINRA/SEC, LIMRA, DTCC/NSCC, Morningstar, SMA/UMA, Advisory Platform) – a plus.
  • Understanding of financial services domains (Retirement, Workplace Solutions, Group Benefits, Wealth Management) – a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and the ability to present technical information to technology and business leaders.
Compensation & Benefits

Voya is committed to fair and equitable pay. The annual base salary range reflects expected hiring ranges and may vary by location and experience. In addition to base salary, incentive opportunities may be offered. Salary specifics provided during offer. Part-time salaries prorated based on hours.

  • $228,190 - $285,232 USD
