The Sr. Product Marketing Manager for the Accounting & Payments Platform will drive the adoption of AppFolio’s accounting and payments capabilities, a key pillar of our solution central to customers’ success and the backbone of their business. The role will align cross-functional go-to-market teams around common objectives, evolve the positioning of our accounting and payments capabilities, orchestrate product launches, and work closely with product and marketing teams to communicate the solution to customers and prospects.
Responsibilities- Build deep product and market expertise through direct customer conversations as well as market and competitive research.
- Work closely with the product management team to understand product features, benefits, and roadmap.
- Create compelling positioning and messaging that addresses customer pain points and clearly articulate how AppFolio solves them.
- Plan and execute product launches, including coordinating with cross-functional teams for successful market introduction.
- Collaborate with sales and services enablement teams to create collateral and education programs.
- Develop thought leadership content and customer stories that resonate with target audiences and simplify complex concepts.
- Continuously analyze and improve go-to-market strategies for our payments and accounting platform based on data analysis.
- Analytical mindset: ability to generate insights from customer, market, and performance data.
- Problem solving: comfortable navigating ambiguity, analyzing information, and making clear decisions.
- Written communication: excellent writing style and command of language for a broad array of written content.
- Presentation skills: strong stage presence and ability to lead internal and external presentations.
- Project management: proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships and execute complex projects.
- Initiative: willingness to take the lead and shape strategy.
- Influence: ability to engage with senior leaders and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Continuous learning & curiosity: proactively deepen knowledge of customers, product, and industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5 years of product marketing experience.
- Product marketing experience with an accounting & payments platform.
- B2C or B2B2C experience, ideally within the fintech industry.
- Understanding of core accounting principles.

Compensation & BenefitsThe compensation that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $114,400 to $143,000 [base pay]. The actual compensation for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, education, experience, and internal equity. Compensation is just one aspect of a comprehensive Total Rewards package. The listed range does not include additional benefits or discretionary bonuses you may be eligible for based on role and/or employment type. Regular full-time employees are eligible for benefits.
