Drive value for the business by partnering with stakeholders across multiple departments to deliver source-to-contract activities for various R&D services. Negotiate and contract with the supply base, ensuring alignment with established category strategies and overall business plans. Deliver strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier market intelligence, financial productivity, supplier performance management, and risk mitigation. Act as a change agent, leading by example while aligning with the overarching direction of the Strategic Sourcing organization; support category knowledge and change management. Develop and execute Sourcing Category Plans, negotiate and contract with vendors, and align with Strategic Sourcing Category Strategies and business goals. Collaborate with business partners to proactively advise the business and stay informed on supplier markets and delivery models. Lead analytics efforts to proactively identify sourcing opportunities and drive productivity and efficiency improvements. Essential Functions / Qualifications

Manage strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier market intelligence, financial productivity, supplier performance management, and risk mitigation across various R&D services. Develop and implement sourcing category strategies aligned with business objectives. Establish ongoing relationships with key stakeholders to support functional strategies. Define and implement supplier management to maintain competitive advantage; focus on supplier risk and performance. Maintain knowledge of R&D services; negotiate service levels and key performance indicators; understand levers to achieve value. Negotiate and redline service contracts and statements of work using a contract management platform. Generate sourcing insights using spend analytics, industry intelligence, and benchmarking data. Lead end-to-end competitive sourcing activities (RFx), including bid list generation, requirements, supplier criteria, cost analysis, business case, and awards. Ensure sourcing practices comply with corporate ethics, financial policy, and internal controls. Pursue ongoing development of skills in data analytics, business partnering, change and project management, category management, and strategic sourcing. Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred. Minimum 8–12 years (without Master’s) or 6–8 years (with Master’s) of relevant experience in strategic sourcing & procurement. Experience in [BUSINESS] spend categories preferred; pharmaceutical/healthcare/Life Sciences experience is a bonus. 3–5 years of strategic sourcing & procurement experience across R&D service categories, ideally with CRO and ancillary vendor management; relevant industry experience is a bonus. Technology: experience with contract lifecycle management, e-sourcing, spend analytics, and supplier risk management; strong learning orientation. Leadership: ability to lead cross-functional teams, strong negotiation and communication skills, and change management capability. Analytics: ability to generate spend analysis and translate insights into action plans. Business Partnering: collaborative approach with business leaders. Fosters Change and Innovation; creates value for customers; demonstrates business acumen and agility. Other requirements

Licenses/certifications such as CPSM/CPM are a plus. Travel up to 10%. Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours. Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $126,200 to $157,800. Total rewards include merit-based raises, participation in short incentive plans, eligibility for 401(k), and medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances. Time-off includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, a year-end shutdown period, and paid sick time (80 hours on hire and annually thereafter).
