The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) is responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and education to opinion leaders (OLs), health care professionals, and to internal partners as required by scientific and business needs. The Sr. MSL serves as an established scientific and clinical knowledge lead on current and future J&J Innovative Medicine products per Therapeutic Area (TA) alignment. The Sr. MSL stays abreast of current scientific and treatment landscape trends in their therapeutic areas of interest. The Sr. MSL provides research support for company and investigator initiated research. The Sr MSL will function with high integrity and follow credo values. Builds external relationships with identified OLs and health care providers (MD, PA, NP, RN, Pharm.D., biocoordinators) and develops/manages a geographical territory. Engagements can be virtual or in-person, with a prioritization of in-person engagements when appropriate. Develops and maintains a territory strategic plan, including educational activities with identified OLs, HCPs, institutions, and community practices. Demonstrates competency in Influence & Results Focused, Communication, Stakeholder Engagement, Product & Therapeutic Area Knowledge, and Data Insights & Dissemination. Rapidly identifies and compliantly collaborates with field-based partners to support Healthcare Providers and positively impact patients. Continues to enhance skills in agility, applying Change Management, Time Management and Innovation. Conducts all activities in accordance with current regulatory and health care compliance guidelines. Field-based role requiring travel predominantly within assigned geography, with travel estimated at 80%. Responsibilities (continued)

Executes Research Initiatives: leverage knowledge of care standards, Janssen/Investigators’ trials, and competitor landscape to facilitate external-internal research communication; engage with external investigators regarding unsolicited inquiries, and act as liaison to R&D, Medical Affairs and operations teams. Provide clinical trial support to identify potential sites, resolve site issues, and participate in meetings (site initiation visits, investigator launch meetings). Lead at least one scientific or strategic Immunology project; identify educational gaps and elevate team acumen. Demonstrate strong scientific acumen; participate in team calls, trainings, and journal clubs; stay informed on current standard of care and share scientific news. Attend and provide leadership at scientific conferences to gather and understand new information relevant to the company and the external scientific community. Medical insights: listen for, document, and share medical insights; synthesize data for MSL team and other partners; allocate time for self-driven learning of the current scientific landscape. Represent and support J&J at key stakeholder meetings (congresses, symposia, advisory boards, investigator meetings) and at speaking engagements. Support Department Operations and Internal Partners: perform administrative requirements timely, accurately, and compliantly (e.g., expense reports, activity documentation) and maintain composure in uncertain circumstances. Provide regional/local support to enhance sales training initiatives and improve competencies of field personnel in partnership with Sales Learning and Development. Communicate and collaborate with field-based partners and other Immunology MSL teams on a routine basis; lead or participate in large-scale projects. Maintain thorough understanding and competence in regulatory and health care compliance guidelines; corporate policies on business conduct; Medical Affairs SOPs and guidelines. Qualifications

PharmD, PhD, MD, or other advanced medical degree; NP, PA with +3 years relevant TA clinical experience. 3+ years of MSL experience, and/or 3+ years of relevant work experience (clinical, research, or pharma). Significant experience giving presentations. Ability to travel up to 75-80% including some weekend commitments. A valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record. Reside within the defined assigned territory. Preferred
