Computational Biologist - IBD Research Location: Fully Onsite - San Francisco, CA Type: 3 month Contract Pay Rate: $38-$50/hr Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5 Start Date: Immediate Department: Biostatistician About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Computational Biologist with strong immunology expertise to join our innovative research team. In this role, you will establish robust and integrated data-driven analysis frameworks that leverage multimodal data (molecular, cellular, clinical, and imaging) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Core Responsibilities

Develop and implement generalized procedures for summarizing molecular, cellular, and clinical information on potential therapeutic targets Maintain and apply a unified computational infrastructure to review targets in both early and late research pipeline phases Design and implement strategies for multimodal IBD data integration to identify novel targets and biomarkers Apply advanced computational methods, including AI/ML and foundation models, for data integration across diverse IBD datasets Critically interpret computational results within the context of IBD pathobiology Translate data-driven findings into actionable recommendations for target and biomarker discovery efforts Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of computational approaches with experimental workflows Qualifications

PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Immunology, or related field Specialized knowledge of IBD pathogenesis and the current IBD therapeutics landscape Strong background in immunology with in-depth knowledge of immune pathways and mechanisms Demonstrated expertise in computational biology and bioinformatics Experience applying AI/ML methods to analyze multimodal omics and clinical data Proficiency in using and fine-tuning foundation models for biological data analysis Experience with multimodal data integration techniques Strong programming skills in languages commonly used for bioinformatics (e.g., Python, R) We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
