PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation CAD Position Overview:

Follows clearly defined endoscopy procedures to provide assistance to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers. Supports the functionality of the department by distributing supplies and performing equipment maintenance, decontamination and setup as needed. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during endoscopy procedures as defined by department guidelines.

Distribute supplies, perform equipment maintenance, decontamination and setup as needed to support department operations.

Follow all regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety in patient care.

Qualifications Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

Certification & Licensure:

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

Skills and Knowledge:

General knowledge of gastrointestinal principles, procedures, views, and equipment.

Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.

Time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and follow standard operating procedures.

General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.

Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems using established options.

Salary information:

Pay Range

is $38.68 to $48.35 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for geographic differential. Compensation depends on factors including experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is one part of the total rewards program. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
