Save Job

We've made a lot of progress since opening the doors in 1942, but one thing has never changed - our commitment to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate. We believe that every award earned, every record broken, and every patient helped is because of the dedicated employees who fill our hallways.

At Ochsner, whether you work with patients every day or support those who do, you are making a difference and that matters. Come make a difference at Ochsner Health and discover your future today!

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a well-established department that sees 75,000+ visits/year as a tertiary referral center for the larger Ochsner Health System. The department welcomed its first class of Emergency Medicine Residents in 2020 and has seen continued rapid growth. The Emergency Medicine Service Line was recognized as the 2020-2021 Outstanding Clinical Service Line for the Ochsner Health System. We are currently recruiting for more Academic Faculty positions at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus as we expand.

We seek American Board of Emergency Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine certified/eligible physicians, preferably with fellowship or additional niche training and a passion for residency education. We are particularly interested in candidates with fellowship training in Simulation, EMS, Ultrasound, as well as experience in Quality, Patient Safety, and Operations, to help develop these divisions within our department.

The Division of Emergency Ultrasound already has three ultrasound-fellowship trained EM physicians. Our department has four ultrasound machines, conducts billing, utilizes Qpath software for QA, performs nerve blocks, endocavitary ultrasound exams, and manages ultrasound rotations for EM residents.
