Responsibilities
Under the direction of the clinical chairman, provides patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings: Provide direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with rotational weekend hospital and call coverage (average 1:4) Provide clinical supervision and teaching for residents and medical students Be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides excellent care for all patients Qualifications
Successful completion of residency program. Board qualified or certified. AZ licensed physician. Credentialed at SJHMC. Membership in appropriate professional associations and societies. A passion for providing clinically excellent care MD or DO degree Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program and an Adult Infectious Disease fellowship Active/Eligible for board certification in Internal Medicine / Infectious Disease Must have or be eligible for an AZ State medical license Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals What We Offer:

For more than a decade, Creighton has had an academic presence in Phoenix, sending medical students to Dignity Health SJHMC for clinical rotations. That relationship expanded in 2009 when the University and St. Joseph's formally established a Creighton campus for third and fourth-year students. In 2018, it was announced that Creighton would expand once again, opening a full four-year medical school campus in Phoenix to become the largest Catholic health professions educator in the nation. Dignity Health Medical Group - Arizona
is seeking a full-time clinical and academic physician for the multidisciplinary Infectious Disease service line at its flagship location of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Hello humankindness! Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Employing approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff across various specialties, DHMG provides more than 73 subspecialty services. Our physicians are involved in clinical care, academic, research, and leadership roles, and we also train future healthcare providers, including medical students, residents, and fellows. Our clinical services are supported by translational and bench research, enhancing medical education. Our mission aligns with Dignity Health’s commitment to innovative clinical care and excellence through scholarly activities.
