Job Description Summary
The Early Childhood Toddler Teacher will be responsible for the management of the classroom, in accordance with all Gingerbread House and Missouri State Licensing Rules and Regulations.The principal duties of the 2 year old class Teacher will require you to introduce the children to age-appropriate activities and most importantly ensure the safety and physical well-being of the children at all times.
Duties
Create a pleasant, inviting classroom atmosphere in which children feel comfortable and secure. Work as a member of a team to ensure a high standard of quality in all classrooms Ensure that childcare routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with Missouri State Licensing Rules and Regulations. This includes diapering, hand washing, sanitation, eating, napping and transitioning between activities. Proactively ensure the safety of children through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space, proper maintenance of equipment, and regular practice of monthly fire drills and other emergency procedures. Maintain a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma Must have a warm supportive attitude towards children Willing to complete infant/child CPR and First Aid training Complete a full background check and pass a health screening Able to use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat, crawl and take frequent walks The ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
