About the role The mission of the AI Instructional Designer, Member Care, is to lead the design and delivery of scalable, AI-integrated learning systems that enable the Member Care team to work effectively, confidently, and ahead of AI advancements. This role accelerates onboarding, boosts adoption of tooling, and equips teams with the skills needed to handle complex, judgment-based work while driving measurable performance gains across the organization.

This role is hybrid to our SF office, 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).

Responsibilities

Design and deliver targeted training programs

that reduce onboarding time and accelerate time-to-proficiency across Member Care, with a focus on both Support agents and leadership.

Develop and facilitate adaptive, multi-modal learning experiences —including live sessions, LMS modules, simulations, and asynchronous content—that equip teams to solve complex issues, manage escalations, and navigate & use evolving systems.

Lead upskilling initiatives

that prepare teams to confidently adopt and leverage AI tools, new technologies, product launches, and internal systems as part of their daily workflows.

Build scalable, self-optimizing learning systems

that evolve through performance data, learner feedback, and AI-assisted content generation.

Translate complex technical and AI-driven concepts

into intuitive, engaging learning content that meets the needs of diverse learners across roles and levels.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Ops, Engineering, and Support

to embed training into workflows and ensure programs reflect real-world usage, team needs, and business priorities.

Qualifications

Experience designing and delivering training programs

that support technical upskilling, complex systems adoption, and AI tool integration across cross-functional teams.

Ability to translate technical and AI-driven concepts

into accessible, learner-friendly content for diverse audiences across Support, Operations, and Leadership roles.

Proven success leading training initiatives from end to end —from needs analysis through design, delivery, iteration, and impact measurement.

Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills , with a track record of aligning priorities, sharing insights, and driving cohesive outcomes across Product, Ops, Engineering, and Support.

Strategic mindset with a people-first approach to AI and automations adoption , focused on building confidence, reducing friction, and preparing teams for increasingly complex, high-value work.

What’s needed

3+ years in instructional design, enablement, or training.

Proven track record in building self-sufficient, scalable training systems that can run effectively on their own, guide learners independently, and require minimal ongoing supervision.

Experience designing training for tool-heavy, technical, or software-driven roles, translating complex systems into accessible, actionable learning experiences.

Experience embedding AI and automations into learning flows or support operations, aligning training with knowledge systems to optimize efficiency, adoption, and performance.

Base pay is $96K-$115K, depending on experience and skills.
