Job Title: BAS Controls Technician Job Description

As a BAS Controls Technician, you will be responsible for creating control algorithms, downloading source code to controllers, managing system databases, and implementing an animated front-end graphical user interface. Your role involves diagnosing and repairing complex direct digital control system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and electronic theory, as well as the ability to create and modify program algorithms for multiple systems.

Responsibilities

Communicate with all levels of the contracting chain to declare installation schedules, milestone updates, job progress, commissioning, and closeout/acceptance plans.

Identify potential field changes, communicate changes to customers and project managers, and assist in cost estimates for change orders.

Generate and submit extra work orders for non-contracted work.

Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.

Perform service repairs, adjustments, and calibration on building systems.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in BACnet Controls Systems, Lonworks, building automation and controls, and HVAC.

Diploma and/or 2+ year degree in electronics, computer technology, or a similar field.

2+ years of experience with building automation systems.

2+ years of experience with Lonworks and/or BACnet Controls Systems.

Ability to program on automation systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Tridium or Niagara 4.

Knowledge of automation, Niagara Tridium, Siemens Talon, and other control systems.

Work Environment

The role primarily involves local travel within Houston, where you will work independently on client-specific needs and projects, joining a team of over 20 professionals. A company truck will be provided for transportation. The primary work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with availability required for occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.

This is a Permanent position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $93600.00 - $135200.00/yr.
