Job Title: Material Handling Specialist

Job Description

Join a dynamic team responsible for coordinating the unloading and storage of incoming ingredient oils crucial for our sauce manufacturing operations. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of materials using mechanical and manual processes, adhering to the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the unloading and storage of incoming ingredient oils.

Perform sanitation duties in the tank farm areas.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

Work on the rail line to manage the delivery of raw ingredients and oils.

Connect piping systems to incoming tankers for safe material transfer.

Operate forklifts to assist with material movement.

Use hand tools to manage hose fittings, valves, and transfer equipment.

Essential Skills

Mechanical experience with hand tools.

Forklift experience (sit-down or stand-up).

Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Material handling and general labor experience.

Experience with RF scanners and pallet jacks.

Ability to climb on top of tankers, being in the air approximately 10-15 feet.

Work Environment

The position involves working both outside and indoors in various temperatures, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity. Employees will be exposed to vibrations, chemicals, fumes, and food allergens. The role may require working in confined spaces, at heights exceeding 18 feet, and navigating dark environments.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.81 - $22.81/hr.
