About You You are a performance-driven marketer who thrives at the intersection of data and creativity. About The Role As the Director, Growth Marketing, you will own goop’s paid and performance marketing strategy with a focus on acquisition and retention. Reporting to the VP of Growth & Digital Marketing, you’ll collaborate with in-house creative and brand teams as well as external partners to optimize paid campaigns, identify growth opportunities, and scale performance across channels. This role requires hands-on experience with paid social (Meta), affiliate, and SEM, paired with strong analytical rigor and brand nuance. You will manage campaign performance and translate insights into creative briefs, content strategies, and retention initiatives that fuel sustainable growth for goop’s beauty and fashion businesses. Responsibilities include: Lead goop’s acquisition and retention strategies to ensure profitable CACs and high LTVs across customer cohorts. Manage the performance marketing strategy across paid social, affiliate, SEM, and other emerging channels. Drive a culture of test-and-learn, extracting actionable insights from campaign data and customer behavior. Partner cross-functionally with product, data, lifecycle, and finance to align growth strategy with company objectives. Lead and manage external agency relationships to ensure accountability and performance. Develop and drive customer analytics frameworks focused on acquisition, retention, LTV, and cohort analysis. Present growth performance, insights, and recommendations regularly. Collaborate with cross-functional partners across brand marketing, creative, product, and ecommerce to ensure growth strategies align with goop’s brand identity. Stay current on performance and retention marketing trends, tools, and best practices to keep goop ahead of the curve. Qualifications & Experience
8+ years of experience in performance and growth marketing, with hands-on expertise in Meta and affiliate marketing; CRM experience is a plus. Proven ability to analyze and optimize paid campaigns with a strong understanding of ROAS, CAC, and LTV. Experience creating and implementing testing strategies, from ad openers to key messaging signals, and translating learnings into scalable campaigns. Strong analytical skills with fluency in Excel and marketing analytics platforms. Blend of left- and right-brain thinking—equally strong at data analysis and brand-forward creative strategy. Background in beauty, fashion, or luxury preferred; brand experience a plus. Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills. FAQ / At a glance
Compensation:
$140,000 - $150,000 + Equity. This is a full-time, exempt role. The base salary range is for the Los Angeles, CA based position. The actual base salary will depend on experience, training, knowledge and skills, and location. Benefits:
