Position Overview:
We are seeking a
Temporary
RN Consultant
to support our team at Waterview Heights. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the highest standards of care for our residents, while working closely with the Administrator, Temporary Manager and Director of Nursing (DON) to support and lead our dedicated nursing team. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of care and the overall success of our facility.
The RN Consultant, in conjunction with the Temporary Manager work with facility’s Quality Assessment and Assurance (QAA) Committee to identify the problem(s) and develop interventions or a corrective action plan to prevent recurrence, as a part of the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program; assist with providing educational in-services and mentoring nursing leadership, providing support to nursing staff on off-shifts by monitoring care provision.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Care Standards:
Uphold exceptional standards of care across the nursing team, ensuring a high level of service for all residents.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and standards while fostering effective communication and teamwork at all levels of nursing staff.
Resident Care:
Address the nursing needs of all residents, ensuring individualized, compassionate care and effective care planning.
Staff Training & Leadership:
Support and train nursing staff, ensuring the team is current with best practices and clinical advancements.
Documentation & Records:
Oversee the accurate and timely completion of medical records and resident documentation.
Scheduling Flexibility:
Maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet the changing needs of the facility.
Collaborative Leadership:
Work closely with facility clinical leadership on daily operations and the overall management of nursing services.
What We’re Looking For:
New York State RN license required.
Minimum of 8 years Director of Nursing of experience in
Long-term care settings .
Proven ability to train, lead, and manage clinical staff effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with prior supervisory experience.
