Overview WSP USA is initiating a search for a Vice President, Environmental Energy Project Management to join the California Earth and Environment Team. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with 12+ years of experience managing energy infrastructure siting, routing, permitting, and construction compliance projects. The ideal candidate has experience with electric transmission lines and substations, energy generation and transmission projects, and midstream pipelines with demonstrated success in both project/program management and business development.

Serve as project/program lead for projects within our California energy portfolio Manage multidisciplinary projects in various geographic locations and phases of development including routing/siting, impact assessment, permitting, and construction compliance Coordinate with clients and oversee project financial performance, including defining and monitoring scope, budget, schedule, and forecasting Expand existing client portfolios and establish new leads Support proposal preparation for task orders and/or new contracts Participate in and contribute to annual strategic business planning Lead collection of environmental field resource data and preparation of environmental documents and permit applications; coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies for project permitting Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, attorneys, planners, GIS analysts, permitting and environmental resource specialists, land agents, construction compliance monitors) Communicate with the public and community stakeholders at hearings and public meetings Implement corporate and project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control programs, including methodology and document review, field reviews, project compliance inspections, and site meetings QualificationsRequired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 12+ years of professional experience managing environmental impact assessment, licensing, and permitting in California, preferably related to utility infrastructure development and operations Extensive knowledge and demonstrated expertise with NEPA, CEQA, and related federal and state laws and regulations (e.g., Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act) Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to define and understand client requirements, manage expectations, communicate with clients, and oversee project staff and subcontractors Travel up to 30% for client, project, and internal meetings Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications relevant to technical expertise Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental licensing and permitting regulations to facilitate energy infrastructure projects in California Compensation and Benefits Compensation: Expected Salary: $135,900 – $214,940 (all locations). WSP USA provides a compensation range based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range and to offer additional benefits and compensation depending on circumstances.
