SimVentions is hiring: Advanced Red Team Penetration Tester in Norfolk

** Position is contingent upon award of contract, anticipated in December of 2025. **

Clearance: An ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI Eligible Clearance (IT Level I Tier 5 / Special-Sensitive Position) is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:

• Extensive understanding of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess one or more of the following DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Auditor certifications: CEH, CySA+, CISA, GSNA, CFR, PenTest+.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and utilize offensive security tools such as Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, and Cobalt Strike.
• Mimic threat actor behavior using TTPs aligned with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
• Conduct assessments across multiple operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and macOS.
• Perform exploit development and identify zero-day or previously unknown vulnerabilities.
• Analyze and remediate gaps in offensive tools and development techniques.
• Experience in scripting or programming languages (Python, C++, Java, Rust, Assembly, C#, etc.) for exploit development.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of full-time professional experience in penetration testing or offensive Cyber operations.
• Experience in developing and utilizing penetration tools such as Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, Cobalt Strike.
• Ability to mimic threat behavior and conduct adversary emulation.
• Proficient in utilizing various operating systems (Linux, Windows, MAC OS) and Active Directory.
• Experience with exploit development and identifying gaps in tools and techniques.
• Possess one or more of the following certifications: OSCP, OSCE, OSEE, OSWP.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

Compensation:

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $90,000-$150,000 (USD). This range reflects the standard salary for this position and is one component of the total compensation package provided by SimVentions.
