Job Description
The accounting clerk will provide support to the accounting department. Duties include data entry of invoices, billing of customers, accounts payable, and cross training on other positions in the department.
· Data entry of invoices, billing of customers, accounts payable, and cross training on other positions in the department.
· Obtaining customer and vendor materials such as W-9s, certificates of insurance, and sales tax exemptions, etc.
· Supports office with monthly board meeting packet assembly and distribution.
· Gather and file Board Minutes and Board Packets in binders by month.
· Prepares presentation slides, formatting layout, punctuation, and grammar.
· Other administrative duties as requested by the GM.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed for customer interaction.
· Receives mail and other shipments for the office.
· Greets incoming people with a friendly smile and great attitude.
· Handle Elevator and Boiler permits.
· Manage office supplies.
· Filing of accounting documents
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Previous billing experience
· Previous AP /AR experience
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
· Proficient with MS Office suite, especially Excel
· Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Familiarity with accounting software
· Positive attitude and ability to work well within a group.
· Displays a high degree of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.
Requirements:
· High School diploma or GED
· 2 years’ accounting clerk experience
· Have intellectual curiosity.
· Combinations of related education, training, and experience may be considered.
This is a full-time position with a 90-day probationary period. We do provide free off-site parking, as well.
