Position Summary

The Innovation Media Studio Specialist is a part-time employee of Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles and reports to the Girl Innovation Program Specialist. Their primary work location is at the Inglewood Innovation Center (IIC); where they serve as the sole part-time staff member on-site, working Fridays, Saturdays, and some Sundays. They are responsible for the planning, facilitation, and oversight of all programming, activities, and experiences in the Media Studio.They provide experience and programming in the areas of filming, editing, sound engineering, lighting, and content production, along with primary responsibility for girls in kindergarten through twelfth grade while using the Media Studio. The Innovation Media Studio Specialist is responsible for assisting with the development of program materials, and safety procedures in use in the studio.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Deliver experiences and programming in the NFL Media Studio for girls in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Coach and lead the media studio users in the use of all equipment and implement program activities for all facets of media literacy and digital development.

Regularly supervise and give feedback on the use of studio equipment. Maintain inventory of video and editing equipment, and supplies Maintain set-up, trouble shoot cameras, lighting, and sound equipment. Manage storage of raw footage as prescribed by IT department. Maintain clear and positive written and verbal communication. Maintain an organized lab/classroom environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Deliver a fun and safe program that meets the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE), and the National Program Portfolio (NPP).

Ensure program schedules are prepared and implemented that meet GSLE outcomes and the abilities of the users. Deliver progressive program activities. Evaluate the success of the program and the development of the users' abilities and skills in various program activities.

Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the NFL Media Studio operations.

Serve as a role model through communication, relationship development, respect for diversity, involvement, and empowerment of youth. Participate as a member of the IIC team to deliver and supervise weekend programs, and other special programs. Assist where needed with IIC user "check-in" and "check-out". Provide outstanding customer service.

Collaborate with Girl Innovation Program Specialist to create program facilitator guides, user instructions, and activity guides. Responsible for providing data and information to complete grant reports. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must be available for Friday, Saturday, and some Sunday studio sessions. Experience in youth programming, curriculum development, event planning, volunteer management or related fields in diverse populations preferred. Experience with filming, editing, audio mixing, lighting, and production management. Experience with vMix Streamdeck, Zoom P8 Audio console, Flypack Lighting Control, and Adobe Premiere Pro, or other similar equipment Demonstrated success in working with volunteers. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, and take initiative in a fast paced and challenging work environment. Effective communicator with the capacity to collaborate with others and be a team player. A demonstrated commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction. Technical computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management systems, preferably Salesforce. Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Ability to spend time sitting, utilizing the computer, and standing and walking throughout the facilities. Ability to travel via personal vehicle or public transportation to various facilities throughout the region. Able to perform this job safely, without endangering the health or safety of themself or others. Must successfully complete a criminal background check. Other duties as assigned. Recommended Education, Training, and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Must be 18 years of age. Subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout Movement. Possess a positive attitude with strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty. Develop and maintain sensitivity to employee diversity in the workplace.
