Our corporate teams support our family of brands through managing the "back office" work so the team members who support in the production of our products can focus on making great tasting, innovative quality craft beverages. Our shared services team is made up by accounting/finance, human resources, marketing, and sales, who are all skilled in their space and share a love of craft beverages.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Buyer is responsible for the purchasing, receiving, and monitoring of inventory levels of materials in key categories across the company. The Buyer will actively coordinate with internal stakeholders at multiple company sites to ensure adequate inventory is on hand to meet ABV's business requirements. The Buyer will process purchase orders, resolve backorder issues, investigate invoice discrepancies, and monitor the upcoming demand levels of critical items. This individual will be responsible for executing against strategic Procurement initiatives to reduce spend and improve inventory metrics.

Reports to:

VP of Procurement

Responsible for the issuance of purchase orders for materials and services required to support the production schedule, site(s) needs, and sales forecasts. Run and review the MRP and overstocked item reports for all materials in the ERP system. Set PO releases minimizing inventory carrying costs and reducing material shortages. Create supplier purchase orders for inventory, MRO, and non-inventory items. Transmit and confirm receipt of the purchase orders to the suppliers. Monitor the management and reduction of inventory, while increasing customer service levels for both internal and external customers. Evaluate and verify pricing regularly in order to validate cost savings and ensure competitive pricing. Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies. Confirm the PO information is accurate and adjust as needed. Maintain the delivery dates and comments for the purchase orders in the ERP system for accuracy of information. Take immediate action for items requiring expediting or extended delivery dates per the MRP or sales order needs. Communicate any material delays or shortages and corrective action/resolution plans to minimize cost and service disruptions. Work with suppliers to resolve/remediate miss shipments or damaged goods. Execute the appropriate returns process in ERP. Work closely with all internal teams to resolve material quality or performance issues. Lead the Supplier Scorecard information gathering process and execute quarterly performance review meetings with key suppliers. Participate in the weekly Open PO/ Production meeting to discuss delivery dates for the materials and develop appropriate actions plans as needed to minimize service and cost disruptions. Identify and qualify new suppliers or secondary sources to meet the Company's objectives for quality, capacity, and total cost. Submit proposals to suppliers for quotation and evaluation. Create and distribute monthly rolling plans/forecasts for local suppliers. Maintain the delivery dates and comments for the purchase orders in the ERP system for accuracy of information. Take immediate action for items requiring expediting or extended delivery dates per the MRP or sales order needs. Ensure forward supply issues are communicated and addressed with preventive actions. Resolve discrepancies associated with supplier transactions in a timely manner. Confirm production schedules are in sync with purchased materials schedules to streamline and optimize ABV's total supply chain costs. Organize, update, and retain product information files and purchase order records to include leadtimes, price changes, etc. Responsible for creating new material items in ERP software. Competencies

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

BS/BA degree (Materials Management, Supply Chain, Business preferred). 5 years of experience in materials, inventory management, purchasing, or procurement. 2-5 years in Direct Buying, Contract Negotiations, Supplier Management. Understanding of inventory management concepts such as MRP, ABC Analysis, inventory cycle counts, etc. Experience/knowledge of ERP (SAP, Orchestrated Beer, Great Plains, MS Dynamics preferred). Ability to deal tactfully with vendor and/or suppliers who provide a broad spectrum of products and services. Must positively represent the organization in all business dealings. Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite. Ability to operate within Excel including VLOOKUPs and creating spreadsheets and tables. Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be a team player with ability to handle simultaneous tasks and follow-up on requests. Other Requirements

Candidate should be able and willing to lift at least 31.5 lbs. from ground level to a shelf 50 inches from the floor. The candidate should also be able to move 165 lbs. of kegged beer from one location to another by sliding it on the floor. Selected candidate will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background and driver's license check. Adherence to safety policies and procedures of the worksite.
