Responsible for cloud control validation, evidence gathering process re-engineering, and Playbook documentation; conduct evidence gathering in support of validation of cloud controls alongside teammates; quickly learn/understand existing processes to then pivot to developing Playbooks that will enhance/uplift existing process; drive greater consistency and uniformity regarding validation and evidence gathering for adherence to cloud control objectives; leverage Playbooks as a source of requirements for later process automation, while in the interim bringing greater efficiency and consistency to our current manual validation and evidencing processes; drive the ideation, design, development, and execution/delivery of Playbooks specific to security control validations and adhere to evidence gathering/analysis; utilize Azure, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), Terraform, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL, Python, HTML, AWS, Jenkins, and CI/CD automation to perform duties; validate Playbooks to cover cloud platform, workload, and services validations; responsible for the deployment lifecycle for Azure AKS, ASE, and SQL MI, ensuring each deployment aligns with best practices and meets organizational requirements; leverage deep knowledge of Azure and GCP to advise on best practices for cloud deployments, security, and compliance and design; and implement security protocols and guidelines to protect cloud resources, ensuring all cloud environments meet regulatory standards and internal security requirements.
Location: Detroit, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary: $169,520 per year;
Education: Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Cloud Engineer, as a DevOps Engineer, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year's use of all the following: Azure, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), Terraform, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL, Python, HTML, AWS, Jenkins, and CI/CD automation.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
