Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Import Unloader to join our team in West Chicago, IL. The Import Unloader is responsible for safely and efficiently unloading goods from incoming delivery vehicles such as trucks, shipping containers, or railcars. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all products are accurately received, inspected, and organized for distribution. Pay, Schedule, and Location Starting at $19/hour, paid weekly Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision 1st Shift, Monday through Friday: 6 am to 2:30 pm with some Saturday OT Located in West Chicago, IL Duties and Responsibilities
Unloading and Receiving: Safely and efficiently unload freight, cargo, and products from trucks, shipping containers, or railcars. Inspection: Check incoming goods for damage, shortages, or abnormalities and accurately document any discrepancies. Sorting and Organizing: Sort, categorize, and stage unloaded items according to product type, destination, or designated storage area. Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or hand trucks to move heavy materials. Inventory Management: Track and verify incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and proper documentation in the receiving process. Safety and Housekeeping: Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment and keep the workspace clean and organized. Documentation: Complete paperwork, logs, and reports related to receiving, inventory control, and freight management. Requirements and Qualifications
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items throughout the shift. Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and a commitment to accident prevention. Attention to Detail: Accuracy in inspection, sorting, and inventory tracking. Basic Reading & Math Skills: Ability to read shipping documents and perform simple calculations. Equipment Operation: Experience with or willingness to learn forklift and pallet jack operation. Communication Skills: Ability to report issues, coordinate with team members, and clearly communicate with supervisors. Organization & Time Management: Capable of managing tasks efficiently while meeting productivity goals.
