Job Description
SUMMARY Reporting to the Assistant Director of Early College Programs, the Coordinator of Early College Programs supports the overall administrative operations for the Early College Program at Montclair State University. The Coordinator provides front-end guidance to prospective students and supervises the department's student assistants. This is a part-time hybrid position, allowing for flexible hours. The schedule will be up to 20 hours per week (3 days), two of which must be at the Montclair State University campus.
PRINCIPAL MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fields and responds to inquiries from prospective students, current students, parents, and other school partners via phone, email, video conferencing, and walk-ins; Advises students through the class selection process, obtains permits from departments as needed, tracks registration and enrollment, and oversees seat reservations; Utilizes Slate to review admissions applications and generate communications for various constituents; Assists with the coordination of Early College Program Orientation; Manages social media channels for the program. Onboards, supervises, trains, delegates to, supervises, and evaluates student workers; Creates, maintains and analyzes survey data from all Early College Program recruitment activities; Management retains the right to add or change job duties at any time. QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
:
Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university; Strong interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail. PREFERRED
:
Proficiency in computer applications Fluency in a language other than English.
