bathing, shampoos, shaves, assist with showers Provide daily living activities:
assist with meals, feeding, fresh water, and nourishment Provide comfort to residents:
positioning and repositioning patients as needed or desired Perform I&O:
check for vitals and weight; specimen collection Provide effective delivery and care in the orientation of new employees Utilize resources safely and efficiently Maintain a safe, clean, and attractive environment for residents & co-workers Transport residents and equipment as needed Promptly and politely answer residents’ call lights and requests Report observations of a resident to the nurse in charge of the patient to ensure professional assessments Instill confidence in residents by maintaining a positive attitude, neat and clean appearance, and competent and caring performance Perform other duties as assigned and/or required In special areas, perform duties as defined on specialized skill set With specialized training and written approval, may perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned area Essential For You To Have as a University Park Nursing & Rehab CNA: Have and continue acceptable Criminal Background Report Have and continue clean Sex Offender Report Have and continue clean Child and Adult Protective Service Report Understand, speak, read and write English fluently Education, experience, and skills to perform required responsibilities Ability to lift, push or pull at least 25 pounds Ability to bend, twist, squat, kneel, and reach Ability to treat and care for our residents and their property and personal belongings with dignity and respect
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience •
Completion of state approved Nursing Assistant Program for the state in which the facility operates Current certification and listing on the state Registry. •
Preferred: Experience in skilled nursing and/or assisted living community. Required Skills and Abilities: •
Resilience: ability to welcome constructive feedback, course correct and not take it personally •
Personability; ability to get along with all personality types and inspire trust with residents, staff, family. •
Ability to actively listen, with the goal of understanding. •
