Overview

Overnight Veterinary Technician, Emergency role at Ethos Veterinary Health. We are a premier network of over 140 specialty and emergency hospitals across North America, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care. This position is with SAGE San Francisco, part of our emergency veterinary team.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients
• Monitor critical and fractious patients
• Administer treatments and medications
• Assist with diagnostic tests and emergency procedures
• Ensure patient comfort and wellbeing
• Communicate effectively with pet owners
• Maintain equipment and supplies
• Document patient care accurately
• Engage in ongoing education and training

Compensation

• RVT: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
• SVA: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
• $5.50/hr differential paid for any hours worked between 6pm - 6am

Hiring Bonuses

• $8,000 for Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT) and $6,000 for Veterinary Assistants (SVA) for overnight roles (Full-time, new to SAGE hires)
• Shift differentials: $5.50 per hour for hours between 6pm - 6am

Work Schedule

• Overnights
• Full-Time positions, 4/10 schedule

Basic Required Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 3+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, estimates, and other position-related tasks
• Maintain California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) within 60 days of hire or transfer (waived if a valid CA-RVT license is held)
• CA-RVT license preferred but not required
